DJ／プロデューサーとして国内外で活躍。
ダンスミュージックに自身のルーツを散りばめた独自の音楽スタイルがワールドワイドに支持され、6枚のオリジナルアルバムのリリースの他、Chara、RIP SLYMEなど多数のアーティストのプロデュースも手掛ける。
DJとしても国内は全県制覇、海外約50都市でのプレイ実績を持つ。
またリミキサーとしても、現在まで100を数える楽曲を手掛けており、最近の作品としては くるり、UNICORN、THE BPA（FATBOY SLIMことノーマン・クックによるプロジェクト）、YOUNG PUNXなどがある。
2009年4月29日には、大沢伸一、☆Taku Takahashiとともに、avex20周年を記念したプロデューサーユニット・ravex（レイベックス）名義で、avexを代表する豪華アーティストをフィーチャーしたアルバム『trax』を発売。
村上隆がLouis Vuittonのために制作したアニメーション「SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM」(2003年)、「SUPERFLAT FIRST LOVE」(2009年)の音楽や、世界三大広告賞でそれぞれグランプリを受賞したダンスミュージック時計「UNIQLOCK」、「UNIQLO CALENDAR」の楽曲制作も手掛けるなど多方面で活躍している。

Fantastic Plastic Machine is world renown DJ/Producer Tomoyuki Tanaka’s solo project. His original style of mixing dance music with his own roots music is highly regarded internationally, He has played in about 100 cities throughout the world. Besides releasing 6 original albums, the best of album “FPMB” which collects music sources from 21th century onward is now on sale from by avex. In FATBOY SLIM’s best remix collection that was released in September 2007, “THE JOURNEY” remixed by FPM is included. He also plays an active part in various fields such as music of the LOUIS VUITTON’s animation films “SUPERFLAT MONOGRAM”, “SUPERFLAT FIRST LOVE” by Takashi Murakami, and music of DANCE-MUSIC-CLOCK “UNIQLOCK” which won the grand prix at all of the world’s best 3 advertising awards*, and new blog parts by UNIQLO called “UNIQLO CALENDAR”. Moreover, his song ‘Bachelor Pad’ is featured in the movie “Austin Powers –the spy who shagged me-“, and some other songs is used at the world famous TV drama “Sex and the City”.
