ふくろうのダルマ

だるま（達磨）は、 禅宗開祖の達磨の坐禅姿をあらわした置物です。 日本では古来より、縁起物として広く親しまれています。 目の部分は書き入れずに空白のまま祈願を行い、祈願が叶うと目を書き入れるという習慣があり、祈願のシンボルや祝儀の贈物 として、とてもポピュラーな置物です。

8036は、目にしていただいた皆さまが、Happyになってくれたらという想いも込めて、その”だるま”に幸せの鳥「フクロウ」を描きました。

Fukurou Daruma

Daruma doll is a Japanese traditional doll modeled after Dodhidharma, the founder of the Zen sect of Buddism, in meditation.It has been loved by Japan as a good luck symbol to the Japanese for many years, making them a popular gift of encouragement. The recipient of the doll fills in one eye upon setting the goal, then the other upon fulfilling it. 8036 wanted everyone that saw the Daruma to be happy, so we added an owl, a symbol of luck in Japan.
