Visual artist Orly Genger creates voluminous, sweeping installations with nontraditional materials such as thick climbing rope that she hand crochets (as in, with her fingers only—no other tools) into abstract works on such a breathtaking scale that they sometimes spill from one room to the next. Just before the opening of one of Genger's gallery exhibitions, friend and jewelry designer Jaclyn Mayer visited Genger's studio, picked up some errant rope off the floor and, inspired, crafted a necklace. Genger wore it to her opening to rave reviews and OGJM was born. The look? Slightly haphazard California boho with a touch of nautical chic. We couldn't be more in love—or more thrilled at the capsule collection they created just for J.Crew.
