With over 200 photographs from Mert & Marcus, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh and Inez & Vinoodh, Editions Rizzoli take you on journey through fashion history with a collection of Louis Vuitton fashion photography from the last 60 years, set to be released in October.
This fall, Editions Rizzoli will publish a collection of images that will take you on a historical journey through fashion over the last 60 years, via a series of color and black and white Louis Vuitton images. From vintage campaigns to photographs of iconic Louis Vuitton faces since the 1950s and fashion magazine features since 1997, Louis Vuitton Photographie et Mode holds more than 200 lavish illustrations. With contributions from Mert & Marcus, Henry Clarke, Peter Lindbergh, Steven Meisel, Helmut Newton, Mario Testino and Inez & Vinoodh amongst other photographers the book will be published with three different covers shot by Patrick Demarchelier, Craig McDean and Ben Stern. The story behind each one is told in a few words from Charlotte Cotton, author of a number of photography books, while the forward is written by British author Martin Harrison. The deluxe edition will be available from October 1 in French and English in Louis Vuitton stores and at www.louisvuitton.com for €100. From October 15 an additional edition will be available in book stores for €75.
