金柑は柑橘類の中でも「香酸柑橘類」になります。
甘味と酸味、そしてほのかな苦みがある冬物の柑橘です。
また、ＪＡ宮崎経済連では、完熟金柑で糖度16度以上で直径が28㎜以上のものを、皮ごと食べられる「たまたま」という商品名で出荷しています。
