オリジナルは、鉄道エンジニアであったハンス・ヒルフィカーの1940年代の名作。今でもスイス鉄道時計としてヨーロッパ各地の鉄道駅のスタンダードとなっていて、3000以上の時計が正確な時を刻み、さまざまな列車の発着を知らせています。白と黒の文字盤に赤い秒針と黒い長短針を配置した飾り気のなさは、遠くからでも時刻を読み取ることができる実用的なデザイン。磨き上げられたスチールケースを使ったこの時計は、MoMAの「時計展」でも展示されました。
